Weddings & Celebrations

Hattie 5_edited.jpg

Have you always wanted to get married or renew your vows under the stars, on a beach, among beautiful gardens, beside castle ruins, or at your own home? Then a celebrant is the choice for you. You have complete creative freedom to have your day where you want, when you want, and in the way you want.

Couples can be mixed faith, no faith, interfaith, spiritual, humanist, same-sex, mixed-sex, sand ceremony, hand fasting, traditional, or modern – for a truly personal ceremony.

It would be written for you and only you in mind.

It’d be your love story.

Funerals & Memorials

Not a subject you would want to be considering or dealing with, but I am grateful that you have taken the time to look and consider the possibility of using a celebrant to help guide you through and deliver the best and most personal service for your loved one.

I’d work closely with you and take the time to learn about their life, what they cared about, what they believed in and the legacy they’ve left behind. I’d ensure your wishes are fulfilled and create a significant and special ‘celebration of life’ service.

All that matters is that the service represents the person, their style and their personality.

Naming Ceremonies

A naming ceremony is a wonderful celebration, dedicated to the arrival of your child (or children) and are increasingly being used for transgender naming or re-naming ceremonies.

Your ceremony can be held wherever you like, and with a celebrant the content of your day can be as personal and intimate, or as flamboyant as you like, perhaps you might want readings or even a song & dance.

I can help guide you through the whole process to create a perfect celebration.

About Me

Hello, I’m Sharon and live in Binfield, Berkshire with my husband David and two sons Oliver and Gabriel.

My interest in being a celebrant was first sparked when I attended my brother-in-law Dennis's funeral back in 2016, shortly followed by my father-in-laws, and then after the death of my own lovely father a few years later, where we had an amazing celebrant to assist us with the arrangements and deliver such a memorable service, that my interest was ignited again.  I investigated more thoroughly realising that this would be a perfect career change for me.

My sister then announced her engagement and asked if I would conduct the wedding ceremony, so I thought I’d better officially get the ball rolling.  What an honour to have that role.  It made me think about the skills you would need to be a good celebrant – great people skills, excellent listener, creative, good at writing and telling stories, confident at speaking in public, caring, compassionate, and a genuine interest in people and their lives… So, I undertook a professional qualification with the International College of Professional Celebrants (ICPC) and began my new journey. I haven’t looked back since.

Each ceremony is completely unique as I love putting in the time and energy to give the couple or family exactly what they want. It’s a privilege.
